Environmental Impact
- Generating energy with pellets issues 85% less CO2, than generating it with coal.
- We will prevent the deforestation of more than 7,500 hectares, that usually become cattle ranches.
- Reforestation of 10,000 hectares by the biomass suppliers.
- We use harvest residues and thinnings that today are not use and increase fire risk.
- 1,400,000 tons of CO2 will be captured over a 10 year period by each production line of 125,000 tons per year
